Create a tax break for people who use their bicycle to commute to and from work on a daily basis.

Created by D.P. on October 28, 2015

We would like to have the Obama administration look in to providing tax breaks to people that use bicycles to commute back and fourth to work.

As cyclists we all pay the same local, state, and federal taxes that go to the budget of roads and subsidization of cars. Cyclists use way less road space. Cause almost no damage to the roads, and also promote better health and cost less in health care costs, and do not contribute to the traffic congestion. This means that pound for pound we cyclists pay almost 10x more to use the roads as people that drive, and we feel we should be given a tax break to repay us for not having to be subsidized like people that drive. This is money that we would rather have returned or used for mandatory government funded Segregated infrastructure for cyclists.
