This petition is meant to put a tax law that is good for the American Voter. We have the most abysmal voter turnout and need to rectify this. I don't believe its constitutional to have compulsory voting but there should be an incentive to get people to engage.
Giving registered voters a tax credit is one way to incentivize the public. Say 100-200 tax credit similar to the Child Tax Credit. Another thing that could be tied to the law would be mandatory paid holiday on November 2nd and a mix of the two can be used (like employer tax credit for giving employees paid time off for voting, which would negate the individual credit).
