The trickle down effect needs to work better. I believe an incentive will help. This would be beneficial for all employees and the government. I propose that a tax credit is created for top tier employees making so much a year who 1) take a pay cut based on a percentage and 2) have the money that would've gone to their income instead be added to the income of bottom tier employees. This would be good for the top tier employees because they would feel good about giving back to their fellow employees, they'd receive a tax credit, and it wouldn't cut into profits. This would be good for bottom tier employees because they would have more income. The amount of extra taxes coming in from the higher paid bottom tier employees would offset the tax credit. Income levels and percentages TBD.
