create a tax to pay for a perminate police officer to be posted inside every publicly funded school as a first responder

A police officer in every publicly funded school would be a first responder to any kind of trouble. In most schools accross the country it would take the police approximately 10 minutes to arrive and even more time to assess the situation. An officer already in place could deture or even prevent a situation such as in Sandy Hook Ct. Colleges have paid securtiy but smaller schools and rural areas don't have anything until it's too late. A proposed tax on property or income of $100 tom $200 a year per household would create enough revenue to under take the task. It would create tens of thousands of jobs and an officer in every school could keep guns, drugs and unwanted persons out of the class rooms, deturing or preventing another mass killing in a school.
