Creating term limits for ALL elected representatives has many advantages for us as individuals and as a nation.
Our country's founders and the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution speak to the value of a two-term limit for the office of Presidency as a bulwark against a monarchy. Why should our Legislative Branch not be held to the same restrictions? This could avoid a dominance of power by any Party and foster collaborative action that benefits our nation as a whole. Savings would also be realized because they would not receive federal pensions nor free life long health coverage, just like most of their constituents.
