The President is only allowed by law to serve eight years and the same should go for members of Congress. The problem with our government is that most of the members of Congress do not feel as if their job as a lawmaker is in jeopardy. They feel they will continue to win election after election and thus stay in office. This makes the lawmakers complacent and keeps them from doing the job they were elected to do. If they knew they were on borrowed time, it would make the Congress work as it was intended rather than not at all.
