The two-party system has failed, and professional politicians are more interested in personal power than public service. We need term limits for individuals in all elected offices to prevent personal power fiefdoms and perpetual focus on reelection over service to the electorate. By also barring any political party from submitting a candidate for an office it has controlled for two consecutive terms, we guarantee new ideas and approaches, and would force the two current parties that don't represent anyone well to split into smaller, more representative parties.
