Create term limits for congress. Career politicians care more about keeping their jobs than what's best for the USA.

Career politicians can't address our country's most pressing needs because they are more focused on getting reelected than on doing what is needed even if it is unpopular. The result is more government spending to purchase votes, which is bankrupting our country. Furthermore, career politicians by definition do not have experience in the private sector, and do not understand the costs that over regulation imposes on small business and the economy. The founders envisioned a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Congressmen and women should view their tenure as a temporary service to the public, before and after which they rejoin the people in the private production of goods and services in the real economy. Congressional term limits would help solve our problems.
