Create term limits for legislators in the Senate and the House of Representatives to ensure that their interests align with their duty to serve their constituents and honor the Constitution. The current monopoly of power exercised by career politicians is harming our country in a myriad of ways. Enacting term limits will restrain their personal ambition, discourage biased representation that favors major campaign donors/supporters, and refocus their efforts to the ideals of service we seem to have lost.
In order to accomplish this realignment of government, we the people propose the following term restrictions.
Limit Senators to serving two (2) six-year (6-year) terms.
Limit Congressman to serving (3) two-year (2-year) terms.
