Just like the presidency, members of congress should have term limits imposed upon them by law.
Our senate and house of representatives are elected officals, public servants of the states they represent, but lose touch over time, trying to maintain their office instead of representing their people.
In maintaining their office over many years, congressmen and women are no longer in the proper position to repersent the common base of culture and beliefs their state's population represent.
Congressmen and women in fact become part of the 1%, losing touch with their people.
