Our president of the United States has a set period of time that he or she can be in office, and I feel as though this should apply to the members of the Senate and House of Representatives as well. Being a state senator should not be a full time job for life. Times change, and the people who make laws for our country need to change too. This is the best way to get fresh ideas and a greater variety of people working on Capitol Hill. The term limits do not have to be as strict as those imposed on the president, but do need to allow younger generations to cycle in, since they will understand current issues better than the people who's knowledge was relevant twenty years ago.
