Create term limits for U.S. Congress.

Created by A.D. on April 02, 2014

When the framers wrote the constitution and founded the United States of America, they did not intend the job of a politician as a full time career. It seems the longer a politician is in office, the more they forget that they are there to serve the people, not themselves.

My idea for term limits is as follows.

Any one person can spend a maximum of twelve (12) years in Congress. This can be achieved in the following ways:

1. Three, 2 year terms in the House of Representatives, and one, 6 year term in the Senate

2. Two, 6 year terms in the Senate.

This would allow politicians to serve the people, but it would also allow other people the opportunity to serve, that might not have the chance in the current form.
