Background: The U S has the largest oil reserve in the world, 1000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains. This "Bakken" oil reserve contains "more than all the oil in the middle east put together".The oil would cost Americans $16 a barrel to produce.On August 8, 2005 Presendent Bush mandated its extraction. Environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foriegn oil. WHY are we still paying $100 a barrel for foreign oil instead of producing our own at $16 a barrel???
Solution: Create thousands of new jobs for americans by starting a full scale extraction of this oil, to fuel the U S demand with U S oil and to promote a stronger U S economy!!!
