Florida needs a tougher law on felons. Just a week ago a man named Demetrius Parks, 23, murdered a North Tampa Family Dollar store manager during a robbery. Parks had 37 felony charges and 25 misdemeanor charges. These charges were PRIOR to this robbery and murder. Had a three strikes law been enacted in Florida, this man would be alive. This suspect had been in prison for three years, already at the age of 23. He was arrested for 62 crimes in 2 years as an adult. This needs to stop. This is just one example of thousands of violent crimes that would be prevented every year in Florida.
