Create a tiered class system for weapons and clear prospective buyers on a case-by-case basis as with Class-3 weapons.

Created by P.G. on January 01, 2013

A tiered classification system categorizing weapons by their individual level of threat matched to a commensurate screening process. Firearms posing extreme danger to society should be restricted to those citizens able to pass a psychological evaluation/credit check, background investigation, completion of a training & qualification course and maintain sufficient security to prevent their unlawful acquisition or sale. I believe this will allow more American citizens to buy more kinds of guns safely and prevent unlawful use. For example, fully automatics would be Class-4 requiring a full spectrum background check, completion of a DoJ approved course/military training, as well as possession of a gun safe. In addition, annual qualifications could be required to prevent unqualified owners.
