As most of us are aware, there is a tomb in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia which is named "Tomb of the Unknowns", which is dedicated to those who have payed the ultimate price to defend our country as well as others, whose remains have never been identified, but whose names have been recorded as KIA. Now, even though the Tomb is dedicated to all American Service members, on the Tomb itself it states:
"HERE RESTS IN
HONORED GLORY
AN AMERICAN SOLDIER
KNOWN BUT TO GOD"
Not everyone in the U.S. Military is a Soldier. There are also Marines, Sailors, and Airmen.
I propose that a Tomb is created for each of the other 3 branches to show respect to those who have passed and to rename the "Tomb of the Unknowns" to "Tomb of the Unknown Solder", which is what it is known as unofficially.
