Create a Tomb of the Unknowns: representing MIA's, whose remains will never be found, thus they remain forever unknown.

The intention of this petition is to create a Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery. The purpose being acknowledgment all MIAs, from the War of Independence to our present conflicts, who gave the last full measure of their devotion to protect and defend this Nation. While we are now able to identify the remains of all fallen warriors, we still must have remains for DNA identification. The very definition of MIA makes this task impossible. Hence they will remain forever Unknown. Let a grateful People honor and pay a final, fitting tribute to this large group of American Heroes. Let us grant them the Peace they so richly deserve.
