Create Tougher Restrictions on the Use of No-Knock Search Warrants by American Police Forces.

Created by D.M. on August 07, 2014

The use of no-knock search warrants by American police forces has grown exponentially in the last decade. No-knock search warrants are increasingly being used in unnecessary situations without regard for law or public safety. The use of military style home invasions has led to multiple deaths of both innocent Americans and the officers who broke into their homes. With such blatant disregard for the Fourth Amendment, new laws need to be created to clearly outline when such force may be authorized and define the penalty for officers and departments who disregard them. Any officer performing a search warrant should be required to wear a camera with microphone to document the use of force. The American public demands accountability by those who are entrusted to protect us.
