We the undersigned acknowledge that our democracy has been replaced by the pay to play lobbyist system. Therefore, we demand the ability to purchase politicians and their votes in a manner competitive to the deep pockets of corporate entities. We propose an open trading system where groups of citizens and individuals can publicly trade the votes of our elected officials. Actions, positions, and appointment of cabinet members should also be transparently traded. The current closed-door backroom bribery system excludes the public interest. We demand that dollar amounts and fringe benefits be openly disclosed. This system will give concerned citizens the chance to match the offers put forth by corporations. Transparency will also allow consumers to boycott entities they disagree with.
