Becoming an adult this past year made me realize something. We, as the citizens of America can not be the greatest nation on the planet if we do not come together as one people, one nation. Let's all forget Democrats and Republicans for a while and solve our issues as Americans! Political fighting is ruining or nation, here is what President George Washington had to say on political parties in his Farewell Address, "However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion."
