Books are dangerously difficult to read. In countries such as South Sudan and Afghanistan, the respective countries experience few problems with illiteracy because they haven't allowed books for many years; no books, no problems. Obviously, it is this tool of literacy that is to blame for the United States not reaching 100% literacy of all our citizens.
At the very least, we should implement a universal background check, register all book owners, and limit high-capacity, or high-word-count, books - these high-capacity books have a greater potential to discourage young readers from picking up a book.
Now is the time to do something about book violence.
