In an effort to ease the burden and hassles military families encounter when moving from state to state, a "universal vehicle registration" system would allow them to have a consistent way of renewing vehicle registration, titling, and plating, regardless of which state they are currently stationed in. Currently, each time a military member and his/her family moves to a new duty station, they most likely have to navigate a new process, with new forms and new fees to register their vehicles. This is aggravating and expensive. Creating a universal system would ease one of the many burdensome transitions they encounter with their multiple re-locations.
