For too long, the US government's ability to deliver service online has languished behind our peers. The recent healthcare.gov debacle has brought this issue to the forefront, but it is sadly by no means an anomaly, it is the norm.
Our friends in the UK have suffered similar missteps in the past, but learnt from their mistakes and created a government digital service, saving taxpayers money and led to the creation of more efficient service delivery for all UK citizens. The administration needs to use the same playbook to make digital the default.
