Create THE US PRESIDENT INDEPENDENT COMMISSION FOR AFRICA INITIATIVE

Created by P.N. on October 22, 2012

Consistent with its broad economic strategy, the initiative will put forward innovative policy ideas from leading ecoonomic thinkers, ideas based on eveidence and experience, not ideology and doctrine.
Rather than lecturing the United States on how it should act as a superpower or tell african governments how to manage their own economies and political systems, the Commission has identified specific areas in which US african engagement is essential for generating emerging economies in the continent.
The Commission establishes a more pragmatic approach likely to yield results because it recognizes that the context of a traditional US african foreign policy as usual by many countries as purely domestic and regional have become so deeply transnational that they can no longer be addressed.
