Create a US Treasury Small Bond Campaign directly to the American People to purchase back our own National Debt.

National debt, the debt ceiling and the fiscal cliff are all highly politicized issues that seem to divide our country down the middle with little being done to actually help the nation come together and deal with its fiscal house. During World War II "War Bonds" were marketed to the American people to show their support of their country and its efforts in the war. Marketing existing Treasury Bonds, or reinstating a Bond similar to the Series E as a "Patriot Bond" (or something of the like) would generate revenue for the federal government, but also serve as a symbolic gesture from ordinary citizens to show solidarity and faith in the nation. Let us, the American people, make a bipartisan show of patriotism for our country and our willingness to invest in America and buy back our debt.
