At present only veterans in the VA medical system receive an ID card. However, more stores and businesses are offering veterans discounts and services. Many require vets to show their DD214 to receive these benefits. A veteran's ID card would be easier to carry and more durable.
This card will be for vets who did not retire from the service, but served honorably. They will be able to get a specially designed card from any military installation security office. The cost will be paid by the veteran. Any profit from this service will go to the Veteran's Administration.
