Create a voluntary media pledge to prevent mass murderers from achieving notoriety through heinous acts.

Created by K.P. on December 18, 2012

The President should create a voluntary agreement, to be signed by the various media outlets in this country, to avoid naming those suspected to be the perpetrators of mass murders such as those in Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia. The aim of this pledge would be to discourage these acts of violence by individuals who might see mass murder as their opportunity to gain notoriety.
