Create a way to evaluate minors without an Involuntary Commitment or 302 and set the age of consent to 18.

Created by N.S. on January 18, 2013

If a doctor thinks someone is mentally unstable or needs to be evaluated for a mental condition they ask them to sign a 201 (voluntary Commitment) to commit themselves into an hospital. If they refuse it goes to a 302 (involuntary commitment). When a 302 is needed they alert the state police and you are no longer allowed to use, buy or really do anything with a firearm. Allot of kids are 302d for stupid reasons, like me. I was 302d for getting too drunk and having to go to the hospital. When they asked I refused to sign the 201 because I did not think they could and I was 15 years old and immature. So they 302d me and I went for about 5 days. I was not diagnosed with anything and met alot of kids there for the same reason. Kids can change, I did, and many more do too.
