Create a way for Ex-Offenders to gain employment based on proven track records and ability rather than pre-judging.

As an Ex-Offender, and a single mother, I have found that gaining the type of employment necessary to provide for my children has become more and more difficult. Although I am more than qualified for a certain position, my previous background is what is taken into consideration and not my overall ability, work ethic, and qualifications. I am creating this petition in hopes that it could alleviate some of the struggles most people like myself have had to endure longer than necessary. Everyone deserves a second chance to prove they are productive and contributing citizens and everyone deserves to have a chance at a stable, happy life for their children.
