It is high time that parents who make the sacrifice to stay at home as full time caretakers of their child/children, are eligible for Government benefits currently not earned.
This includes Social Security, Disability, and many other benefits that people who contribute less to the overall health and growth of the United States can access.
The families, mother's and father's, who make the choice or are forced to stay at home full time, should be recognized for the compensation they give the entire system through their charity.
It is unjust, and unfair, that a mother or father who devotes their life to the lives of their developing children and extended families, reach retirement age with nothing to show for it.
Even worse, are the cases where the parent is disabled, and can get no help.
