create a website to allow every citizen to vote on every legislation proposal rather than congress

Created by T.C. on November 18, 2014

Over time the concept of a true democracy has been lost due to its impracticality with growing populations. However, with the advent of the technologies we possess today, I feel this allows us to once again entertain the idea of a true democracy.
Picture a website created by the government in which congress posts any proposals they wish to be passed into law onto this website. The proposal is then open to the public to vote on. Each U.S. citizen is then able to log into the public website using their unique personal identification and then votes on the issues at hand. Congress proposes, but the people determine what law passes. This will put the power back into the people's hands and prevent misrepresentation. This will also help ensure laws passed are in the people's best interests.
