I am a firm believer in WE THE PEOPLE, and the fact that we're the ones in charge.
Concerning this website, I think this is a good step to letting the people have a bigger voice in government, but I feel that this website would have a bigger impact if the petitions were put into the hands of the Legislative branch.
I think that if petition websites were to be created for individual states, and when a petition gains enough signatures, the citizens local congressman has the option of either introducing the petition as a bill in the next session of congress, or turning it over the legislature in the state of origin.
This route would streamline the process for introducing bills to congress also create jobs for hundreds of software designers, technicians, and the like to maintain those sites
