As of right now, there is a White House Council on Women and Girls. However, this kind of organization does not provide support for transgender individuals.
Transgender individuals face many issues in today’s America that they need support for. For instance, they are nearly four times more likely to have a household income of less than $10,000/year compared to the general population. A staggering 41% of transgender individuals reported attempting suicide compared to 1.6% of the general population. The unemployment rate is twice the national average, to name a few.
