Create a "Will Move for Work" grant program, which funds unemployed Americans seeking to relocate for jobs.

Created by C.N. on January 05, 2014

Recently on "Meet the Press," commentators stated that jobs are more readily available in some states than in others. But how are those on unemployment, or recently taken off of it, supposed to find out-of-state jobs? Travel and relocation cost money.

Some countries and organizations have grants that assist with job transitions (for example, New Zealand and Teach for America). Why can't the government provide assistance to those willing to look outside of their state or region for work?

These grants could potentially do the following:

- pay travel experiences to attend viable interviews
- pay moving costs once a new position has been secured
- pay rental deposits
- pay some expenses until the first paycheck

Sign if you think we should consider establishing transitional grants.
