Creating a national Scottish-American holiday, to celebrate the contributions of Scots in the making of our history.

Scottish-Americans deserve a holiday to call their own. In the history of the United States of America, Scots have contributed much to the build that has become this great nation. With such days as St. Patrick's day, a day where many celebrate their Irish heritage, and days such as Columbus Day, where many celebrate their Italian heritage, it's fair to say that the Scottish should be given a day as well. With nearly 80% of the presidents of our country tracing their lineage back to Scotland, I am sure this matter should garner some support. Cities like New York and many others across the nation have Scottish heritage events, so why shouldn't the nation as a whole?
