I Patrick M. Wojciechowski propose what I call the TDA (Temporary Disability Act) this enables a person to temporarily get on disability for approximately 6 months to one year, which requires a Prescription from your Primary care Physician for it (to fill out the paperwork, listing whatever the disabling factor is), along with signatures and any extra information from your specialist that have or are treating you. It is then sent to the Main SSA office for review and then confirmed by them with your Doctors. Your are required to get a mandatory Physical Check up every 3 to 6 months to check for signs of improvement (Depending on what the disability is). If you are on the TDA for a year or longer, then you are considered "Permanently Disabled" and then will receive regular disability.
