Creation of Federal Central Repository for Credit Records

Created by A.C. on June 23, 2014

Three credit bureaus overseeing credit reporting and scores not only allows for a myriad of inconsistencies but also multiple points for cyber attack to occur along with headaches in consumers' trying to correct information between the bureaus.

Formation of a Federal Central Repository of Credit allows: a) One point for consumer's to address credit inconsistencies, thereby increasing data integrity; b) the repository would fall under federal law which would have equal rules to all Americans while providing stiff penalty to criminals; c) cuts the amount of personal information in the open for cyber attack and ultimately identity theft. In a time where scores determine getting a job or keeping one, or your insurance rates, Americans deserve something better.
