Credit checks should not be part of the hiring process. It can be very misleading to see bad numbers. I have lost 2 very good job opportunities because of credit checks. My credit has declined because of late payments due to not having a job. There is no reason that a well qualified person should be turned down for a job due to their financial situation at home. That financial situation at home is the reason they need the job to begin with.
