A government controlled "foregiveness" action for major consumer credit score hits in the past 10 years.
In order to restart the US economy, we must get consumers spending again. Too many have, through no fault of their own, been forced into bankruptcy, foreclosure, short sale, and worse because of unexpected job loss, catastrophic medical problems, unwanted divorce, or other social/economic factors out of their control. The existing credit scoring system for consumers has long been totally one sided and unfair. It's time to do something about it. There are millions out there who have somewhat recovered from circumstances like these and have income to spend, but cannot make major purchases due to the current credit scoring system that companies use to screen with. They can't get loans.
