Children all have their ways of playing, or expressing themselves. One way that children do this is through a gesture known as finger gun, which they often make while playing children's games. Though schools have, for a long time, banned these sort of things (and they've also banned paper shaped like guns, sometimes just shaped like an L that was misunderstood, and even Lego Guns, which are less than the size of a quarter.). This petition is to criminalize the act of punishing a student for something as minor as this.
