All prisons and detention centers should be ran by either not for profit organizations or by state and federal governments. Corruption is running rampant in the privatized prison system. Judges are being found guilty of accepting bribes to keep prisons full. The prisons are fining states that are not maintaining occupancy levels. Which is also a form of bribery and extortion, resulting in thousands of innocent and non violent citizens being detained for no other reason than to maintain a "bottom line".
