Crowdsource the 2012 New Deal: Set up infrastructure.gov for people to suggest & vote on the best local growth projects

Created by F.S. on September 27, 2011

Harness the Internet to figure out the best locality-specific infrastructure projects.

Example: The Obama Administration could encourage State & Local governments to invest in infrastructure (perhaps using more Build America Bonds created under the ARRA) with the following requirement: the projects to be funded must be chosen by crowdsourcing input on which projects will most encourage entrepreneurship and long-term growth.

Whether using models from Kickstarter, Facebook/Twitter, Reddit, or many other websites, the Obama Administration has a unique opportunity to be the first administration to call upon the American people to offer the best ideas for fixing the economy, and actually experiment with solutions for very little money.

Let the American people crowdsource the 2012 New Deal.
