Crush Childhood Obesity by offering a fuller more wholesome school lunch.

Created by K.S. on February 19, 2013

In order to stop childhood obesity for good you would need to reach out to the roots of the problem. School luches are based on three things; small, quickly eaten portions, cheap food, and raising school lunch prices. Schools want thier kids in and out of the cafeteria, they want to save money on food, and raising the prices to take advantage of a child's neccessity. School lunches are just sad, they usuall come with a main processed entree with two sides one a starch the other a fruit or veggie (canned) and a small carton of milk. The problem is kids aren't full so they want to snack during the day and when they get home. This prevents them from eating dinner, and getting a balanced three meals. We need bigger healthier lunches, especially if parents are going to pay almost $4 per lunch.
