Curb the ludicrous paychecks that our politicians currently receive.

Created by M.H. on March 04, 2013

The Grecian Democracy believed in the simple philosophy that it should be every citizen's duty to further the nation's success and prosperity by serving in public policy-making. They were unpaid for their actions in government, yet their states still flourished under the leadership of normal citizens. Why should our politicians in modern America be treated any differently? It's our duty as citizens to notice the corruption in both our legislative and executive processes in multiple levels of government, and I believe the main cause of their downfall is financial greed. Our politicians should make normal wages, just like us "common folk", because that is who they should represent and be a part of. In summary, either eliminate political payroll once and for all, or drastically lower it.
