Several countries have offered asylum to Edward Snowden (Bolivia, Nicaragua, Venezuela, as of 7/12) in the wake of his leaking information vital to US national security. Though seemingly executing a small action, these countries have openly disregarded the United States and are effectively pardoning the damaging actions of Snowden.
The United States should not let these actions go. The Obama Administration should cut off ties with, eliminate all foreign aid to, and nullify all trade agreements with these nations. By doing so, we will be conveying that justice will be upheld and will be punishing those who actively choose to damage and embarrass us.
