Countries such as Uganda and Nigeria make it a criminal offense to be LGBT, get involved in LGBT activism and raise awareness around the issue. LGBTs are literally forced to live as if heterosexual, marry and have sexual relations with people they're not in love with nor attracted to. Many are beaten up and even tortured, dismembered and murdered. Vigilantes get away with it and authorities just let it happen. Many other LGBTs are driven to suicide or spend the rest of their lives in utter pain and sorrow.
Such countries receive hundreds of millions of dollars from the United States in financial aid each year. This has got to STOP! We demand that the US immediately CUTS OFF any and all financial aid to Uganda, Nigeria and all other countries that dishonor the lives of LGBT citizens.
