Cut back foreign spending, use that money to help American citizens instead

Our government spends hundreds of billions of dollars giving money to our "allies" abroad as well as on relief programs for poorer countries. However, the American people are in need. That money can be used to help American citizens in need. It can also be used to help pay off our debt, which has gone well past the point of crisis. We need to work to make a better USA for our children, and all those that will live in this great country in the future. We have to fix our own problems before we can fix the world's problems.
