Cut back on military spending

Created by A.T. on April 16, 2013

The economy for several years has been in a recession. Some may even call it a depression. The United States government has, over this period of time, looking for ways to make up for this deficit. Another issue that is constantly on the forefront of the American mind is war. When will the next one be, and with whom? America should not be the world's police. It is a duty thrust upon us at the end of the Cold War. While we have handled this burden quite well over the years, it may be time to take a few steps back. Cut back on military spending, and reasons for other countries to fear us, and start putting that money back into the economy. Start using it to foster social welfare programs that we desperately need. We must take care of ourselves before the rest of the world.
