As carbon increases in the atmosphere due to human activity and "development" the temperature also increases. This is causing glaciers to melt which is making the sea rise and when the color of the majority of the ocean goes from white to blue it absorbs more heat, speeding up the process.
People in the future will not be able to go to Alaska and look at glaciers or go to a ski resort with fresh powder because of the present. Humans are greedy by nature and this greed causes us to focus on money, not the environment.
Solar and wind are the two cleanest energy sources that people are currently using. The expansion of this would slow carbon emissions which is good for all of us.
