Cut Congress' spending by a minimum of 50% and change their healthcare rules to a similar model as the military.

With the economy in such bad shape all we here is how Congress passes spending cuts on everything but themselves. If the rest of us need to pay our "fair share" so do they. One such solution would be to cut Congressional pay by 50%. Most if not all members in the House and Senate are making millions else where and do not need to make 6 figures a year in Congressional pay. Also, limit their benefits to each term they serve. There is no reason they get the best, most expensive program for life for just serving one term. They should fall under the same rules as the military: "Congress shall recieve the same healthcare system as the military as long as they are in Congress. Once removed from Congress, they shall lose said benefits and are required to use the same system as the general public".
